I'm sharing my first weekly vegetable, Broccoli. Every week I'll be sharing a veggie or fruit and it's nutritional facts with a yummy recipe to go along!
Broccoli has always been a top favorite of mine as far as vegetables go. It's so versatile as you can eat it steamed, roasted or raw!
Broccoli's full of Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Potassium, Fiber and even more goodness for your body. It's rich components help with more than just keeping your inner system going, but it's also great for skin care and preventing other diseases. (Find more information here.)
Roasted Broccoli Recipe:
I could have eaten an entire plate of these things by myself because they were delicious!
- Preheat your oven to 425.
- Make sure your broccoli is organic, rinse it, and then chop it up.
- Place on tray, drizzle olive oil over and sprinkle with garlic powder & pepper.
- Set timer for about 15-20 minutes. My oven cooks fast and it's hot so I did 15 minutes.
